Jule Staton has joined HRB (Henry Russell Bruce) as a Public Relations and Accounts Coordinator intern following graduation from the University of Northern Iowa. While there she gained experience in leadership, account management and public relations.
Staton graduated from the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) in 2013 with a degree in marketing with a strong emphasis in advertising and public relations. She had extensive involvement in the UNI chapters of the Public Relations Student Society of America and the American Advertising Federation where she served as Vice President of Communication.
Prior to joining HRB, Staton interned at another advertising agency and got hands-on knowledge of agency structure and operations. During her senior year at UNI, she held the position of Director of Accounts for the National Student Advertising Competition, where she led a team of 20 students as they executed a fully-integrated advertising campaign for the national brand Glidden® paint.
“HRB looks for interns who have had multiple prior internships and have relevant work experience in communication, marketing, advertising and online projects and a great attitude,” said Shelby Kraus, HRB Vice President of Public Relations. “Jule possesses all of those traits and makes a great addition to the team.”
As an intern, Staton will work on various projects for multiple clients and collaborate with members of the HRB team. Staton will be involved in public relations, account management, marketing research and strategy development.
